Complete glummery! Do not underestimate the sheer stress. To illustrate, let it not be forgotten that just two hours after handing in my PhD thesis, I went into early labour. Four hours after handing in one highly nurtured leather bound baby, I was later holding a real life baby... The Prince was born! Coincidence? No way. The Prince sensed through the depletion of cortisol that it was safe to make an appearance.
